In reference to a story you will read for literature on Wednesday (8/30):
Instead of screaming and yelling at Roger, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones shows him grace and tenderness. Was this the right thing to do? What would you have done in her situation? Describe a time when someone showed you grace (which, by definition, you did not deserve).

I think it was the write thing to do, because instead of screaming at him she showed him grace which will show him not to do what he did again

She showed him grace which means that he won’t do what he did again

I do not think this was the right thing to do. I would have turned him to the police. A time I was shown grace; I had a really busy week and did not get to practice piano. I confessed to my teacher and instead of getting mad she made my lesson fun and told me not to stress.

There have been several times that someone has shown me grace.

When Miss Luella Jones takes Roger home, she feels compassion towards him, and since he is young and unsure, she shows mercy. I think that compassion and grace are very good qualities to have. I think she did the right thing. In Pride and Prejudice, Mr. Rochester shows grace to Elizabeth Bennet by being kind to her even after she wrongly accused him of several things.

I think Miss Luella jones did the right thing. she showed roger right from wrong in this situation, and even took him home for dinner, and still gave him money for shoes, and just showed him grace in general. I been given grace a lot of times, with teachers and my parents. but I think the most grace I got was in the fifth grade, and wasn’t doing so good in mrs.sayers class.

I'm so glad to extend you grace. God has shown me so much grace in life. If I can give just a little of that to those who need it, I'm glad to do so. You worked so hard on my class and that hard work was noticed.

If I were Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones I would have asked him where he had come from and why he wanted to take my purse. After he answered me, I would have looked at him and asked why his face was so dirty and then I would have taken him home and made him wash his face. Then after he washed his face I would've asked him where he had lived and I would also ask why he was out so late at night. Lastly after he had told me where he lived I would've taken him home. That's what I would do if I were Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones.

Yes that was the right thing to do. I would probably have done the same thing but be slightly more kind to Roger on the way to the big house. It probably hurts to pull someone by there ear all the way to a through a town.

I probably would have been super scared and and I would have screamed, ( my instincts would have kicked in ) and I would have hit him... but Mrs. Jones showed him grace by taking him in. When my friend had a birthday party, I got upset about something and my parents didn't t like how I was behaving but they still took me to the birthday party.

I would report him to the police and ask him why he did that.

I think this was the right thing to do. Instead of being aggravated she teaches him how to be nice and helpful. like how Jesus was when he feeds the 5000. I cant remember a specific time when i have been given grace that don't deserve but there have been times.
