This week we discussed the three categories of persuasive techniques: logos (logic, facts, reason), ethos (ethics, values, morality), and pathos (emotion, language, story). Which of these three techniques do you tend to find most persuasive? In other words, when someone is trying to persuade you of something, are they more likely to convince you with facts, with morals, or with feelings? Explain why you think this is the case by providing specific examples.

i think pathos is the most persuasive because people find emotions deep. they will think of the emotion in that and find it deep and relatable

I think logos is the most persuasive because if you give fact that prove what you are saying people will be more inclined to believe you. We use logic and facts when we write our essays.

logos is the most important. because if you're trying to persuade somebody, you have to put in the facts and knowledge. because if you're just like: "agree with me cause' i'm a nice guy," no one is going to agree with you because you have no reasons.

I think pathos is the most likely choice. If you make a person feel strong emotions, they will be more likely to be persuaded rather than if you just threw facts at them. If they are able to feel compassion they will be more likely to agree and want to help or do whatever you are asking.

I think ethos is the most important. Because you are triggering someone’s ethics

I think logos is the most persuasive, if you give facts then someone will be more likely to believe you because it was proven that that is the right choice. But emotions can also influence their decision. If you can connect with the reader then you will most likely win them over. Comments are closed.
