Writers help the audience get to know a character by what the character says, what the character does, and what others say about him/her. Consider the character you are portraying in your performance of Antigone. What do you know about your character’s physical appearance? What does your character say to others? How does your character behave toward others? What do other people have to say about your character (or how do they react to him/her)?

As ismene I feel like she doesn’t want to get her sister in trouble she seems like a rule follower, a good person, and a calm and quiet person

I am playing Haemon, i think he is a fine person who acts noble and obedient. He seems to be loved by most of the people and his father, until he bravely betrays him. I like Haemon he seems like a nice guy.

Creon is a MAN, because the story says he’s a king. He tells others that he will punish them if they break his law. He behaves in a normal way towards others. Other people, like Antigone, think he has some unjust laws.

I don't think we know much about Antigone's physical appearance, but we do see how she acts. She is very prideful, and not afraid to stand up for what she sees is right. The people seem to love her, and are very upset by her death.

There is not much to say about the guard. He protects the king, is very loyal and follows orders. This might be a stretch, but I think the guard I play is sad about what's happening in the castle. He also did not want to be the bearer of bad news to the king.

My character (chorus leader) does not have much of a personality and we don’t know much about them. I found online that he is elderly. My characters job is to communicate what’s going on to the audience. Comments are closed.
