This week in literature we will have a debate about whether equality should be our #1 goal in society. In what ways is equality an important goal? In what ways could it be a destructive goal? What are your conclusions regarding this debate?

i feel like it can be destructive because you could force things or people to do things they might not want to do.

I think that equality can be good, but you can use it in the wrong way or you can use it against someone

I think that it would be good and bad at the same time. Forcing things on people is never a good thing and trying to make the world stronger and better is also important too.

Equality can make it so that everyone has the same thing and it would make life boring. There would be no reason to do anything since everyone else would be doing the same thing always.

What Josh said but it can make things better by giving the poor and homeless the right to vote and healthcare to them.

If equality is the number one priority it might make people think that they were forced to do something that they didn't want to do and it might lead to chaos.

I think equality should not be our number one goal because everybody is different and life would be the same thing over and over again. Equality can be a good thing if you are talking about human rights.

I think people should prioritize equality, but mainly they should prioritize making sure people get what they need. Prioritizing equality of outcome is important because everyone should be able to have the opportunity to do their best, but, since everyone has natural differences that may influence how they get along in the world, the government should make sure that everyone is given what they need, such as equal money, food, water, and healthcare.

Equality is important because things do deserve to be equal, but at the same time it can destroy the world, because if everyone was equal we would change ourselves for the “better”. In conclusion equality could destroy use. Comments are closed.
