We’ve read several genres this fall: character study (“Thank You, Ma’am”), horror/Gothic (“The Tell-Tale Heart”), dystopian/satire (“Harrison Bergeron” & “The Veldt”), and gothic/satire (“The Lottery”). Which of these stories did you enjoy most? Which did you enjoy least?

I enjoyed "The Veldt" the most. It was the coolest one since it had some really cool stuff, such as, a room that was completely virtual reality. The one story that I liked the least was "The Tell-Tale Heart" since it was weird and scary. It was weird since the Narrator kills a guy and hides him under the floor.

I enjoyed the veldt because it did like how the author had a good take on society back then and even know. I really didn't have a least favorite story. I liked a Thank you ma'am as well because it was a good character study.

Thank you Ma'am was my favorite because of how the story ends.

My favorite story is "The Veldt". I enjoyed the story because the author added a lot of detail he also made it to sound like the family had a regular sized and old fashion house but in reality on the inside it was a super high-tech like 2023.

I enjoyed The Veldt the most, the story took place in the 1950 but seem liked 2023, and the plot twist at the end was amazing. I didn't enjoy Harrison Beregeon, it was really confusing and just didn't make any sense

I enjoyed the lottery because it shows how messed up some ideas that humans have. My least favorite was thank you ma'am, I enjoy books that corrispond with problems that are a thing, like the veldt is telling us how wrapped up in technology we are.

I enjoyed "The Tell-Tale Heart" the most because it was very interesting and creepy. I like reading morbid works a lot because they make you feel uncomfortable and also fascinated, and, in my opinion, they are the most entertaining. I probably liked "Harrison Bergeron" the least because it was very strange and bland and depressing, and didn't make much sense. Comments are closed.
